I just finished updating the mimetex plugin for Serendipity blog to support LaTeX tables better (and to allow it to play nice with url rewrite).

So now I can do things like this:


For those who don’t know, LaTeX is a markup language used to format documents, and is used heavily in math departments (just so I don’t sound like I’m being dirty).

You can download the plugin from the Serendipity plugin webpage. Or it should be available using Spartacus.

Ok, quick post because I totally want to to go watch "Blazing Saddles" or go to bed... We'll see which when I get done.

I just added two new plugins to CVS... they are:

serendipity_event_mimetex.tar.gz: An s9y plugin/wrapper for mimetex... Allows the creation of images from TeX strings and offers an easy way to embed images in a post. (A button using javascript)

And:
serendipity_event_typesetbuttons.tar.gz: (this is a expansion of the space button plugin in the previous post) adds buttons to the entry toolbar offering the following encoded characters:
   Space
   &
   Em Dash
   En Dash
   Bullet
   Double Quotes
   Single Quotes
   "Apostrophe" (technically end single quote)
   Accent
   Grave Accent

Now I can't wait to upgrade to Serendipity 0.8...

I'm still working on the linklist plugin, and I'm now trying to incorporate an entry_display page... *sigh*
I should quit while I'm ahead (and while the plugin is only slightly bloated).

So, I have finished updating the amazonchooser plugin for Serendipity, I think...

I fixed the button display problem for the extended body, I changed it all over to use the pretty buttons in 0.8, I changed it to use/output css so people can just change the css file..
It no longer displays if you are using the wysiwyg editor..

I did not add image widths/heights fixing... Amazon's soap info does not return any info as to the size of the thumbnail (or even if it exists...) I like the idea of using max-height and max-width but I don't know enough about them...

I also coded up a quick plugin to add a "Space" button to the toolbar, because I keep forgetting that   is an xml safe space character... I will probably not put it in CVS..

I still haven't looked at the linklist plugin... I will probably work on it sometime this week... but it is really close... Just two more errors to fix.

So the amazon plugin was starting to show it's age a bit....

I updated it to reflect changes in css, and suppressed the button display when the wysiwyg editor is being used...

It works ok on my machine, with a little testing, so let me know if it breaks something on yours...
