He is getting old and grey. He still loves to run, though.

Your Grannie and your mother found the deal of the year at a garage sale. They bought you a little hand-held educational game system with a Dora game (and a few others). You find it fascinating.

You aren’t addicted to it, though, which is good. I am pretty sure that with today’s parenting climate we could be hauled off to jail if we admitted to sticking you in front of the TV or a video game when we need to get something done.

Of course, we don’t do that. Instead we let you wander around the open spaces adjacent to our neighborhood, where all the coyotes live, with a bb-gun, a sandwich wrapped in saran wrap and only the dog for company. He is completely smart enough to run back and let us know if anything untoward happens to you.

Anyway, you have this little video game that you are trying to figure out. You have seen video games before, but never one that is your size or, more importantly, has Dora the Explorer in it.

It was amazingly cute.

This was the sight that awaited me as I returned to my bedroom from letting the dog out this morning:


There was some giggling during this phase. Quite a lot of giggling, actually. But no real announcement of what you were doing.

Then you crept forward a little bit, still giggling.

After playing around with the camera a little bit, I found that these images seem to give Angie vertigo.


She gets carsick, and has problems with elevators and airplanes most of the time, but this is the first time I have heard her complain about a picture.



She can’t even stare at them for more than a few seconds without getting queasy.
