We have been remiss. We have failed to communicate important news. While some of our family is aware, and hopefully a number of people have heard through the grape vine, we have failed in our social duties and have not yet made a formal announcement that Angie is pregnant.
Our lack of social grace has led to instances like this:

(Thanks to Erik for not only posing for the picture, but for having the sense of humor enough to spontaneously do silly things.)
While some of you may have noticed and clicked on the tab (at the top of the new theme) labeled “Bettie”, I can assume some of you have not seen pictures of the new one yet.
Therefore, I present the first recorded public appearance of our second child:

Alphie and Bettie at the Zoo.
So, I happily announce that Angie is pregnant.
And, since it is best to immediately pick favorites and draw battle lines, I have chosen to write this post instead of writing a post about Alphie’s birthday party that was last weekend.
Alphie is not our little baby anymore. She is a girl; an incredible little girl who gets bigger with each passing moment. And I don’t need a birthday party to remind me of that, because everyday she is bigger, and stronger, and smarter and more capable.
