This morning, while the whole family was piled onto the bed, Buddy kept trying to get Alphie to play with him.
Buddy kept placing his paw on Alphie’s leg, leading to squeals and yelling.
Angie, playing peacekeeper, asked Alphie not to yell so loudly and politely asked Buddy not to put his paw on Alphie.
Buddy removed his paw, and Alphie commented “He shouldn’t because it isn’t nice.”
Angie pointed out that Buddy was just being a dog and doesn’t know his own strength.
Alphie responded “I don’t know my own strength... or my address.”
(For the record, Alphie does actually know her address. She became keenly aware of where she lives about six months ago, and wanted us to tell her everyday. Having learned that pretty thoroughly, she just asks what road we are on when we are driving now. She is going to be able to drive a cab pretty soon.)
